UCM Nominations Form A - Recommendation for Leadership
The Nominations Committee will do an initial screening of nominees to ensure that they have met the seven qualifications listed in the request for submission of nominees, as follows:

1. The person must be a member of UCM.

2. The person must have agreed to have his/her name submitted for consideration.

3. The person must have had suitable leadership experience in church and Christian ministry at UCM or in a previous congregation.

4. The person must have served for at least 3 months in some area of church ministry or committee at UCM. To ensure familiarity with committee and church procedures, the nominee should have attended, at least once, the UCM Governance Seminar.

5. Personal qualifications must fit biblical mandates for leadership. (1 Timothy 3:1-13, Titus 1:6-8, Matthew 20:25-28)

6. The person must understand, accept and unequivocally support the Mission Statement of UCM.

7. The person must be able to demonstrate commitment to personal spiritual growth, preferably being an active member of a Small Discipleship Group, Bible Studies and the like.

Tenure of Service:
Elected/Selected/Affirmed for a term of three years

Caveat on Nominations Selection:
Submission of a name for consideration and undergoing an interview does not guarantee that the person is up for a Council position or a Nominations Committee membership.
