The Durham Art Guild seeks to add new board members who can bring one or more of the following attributes along with a willingness and availability to participate fully in the Board's work:
Fundraising: grant research and writing, development background, fundraising event management and/or leadership
Connectivity: access to community stakeholders, funders and/or deep ties to the regional arts community
Leadership: management of individuals or teams and potential interest in becoming a board officer or leading a committee
Nonprofit Sector: working with a nonprofit or serving on a nonprofit board
Diversity, Inclusion and Equity: The Guild is committed to reflecting the varied communities we serve through our leadership, membership base, program participation and outreach. Interest in or experience with equitable practice and/or equity initiatives is a plus as our organization is involved in ongoing work to ensure a variety of identities and perspectives are a part of our leadership and decision making processes.
Finance and Accounting: finance background, accounting qualifications, experience with financial control and budgeting, and/or experience as a treasurer within a nonprofit organization
Marketing and Design: marketing strategy and implementation across multiple platforms and/or graphic design and web design knowledge
Strategic Planning and Business Acumen: experience leading the charge on visioning and strategizing sustainable growth for an organization, business or program and/or sales and product advancement experience
Evaluation Metrics: strategy for assessment and advancement through surveys, data collection and analysis
