Stakeholder Feedback on Certified Security Guards

This past year, during our District-wide Safety Committee Meetings, the suggestion was made to add certified Security Guards.  The purpose of adding such positions is to add another level of safety. The recently approved budget includes funding for four certified Security Guards for the 2023-2024 school year to be stationed at Cahill, Riccardi, Morse, and the Jr./Sr. High School.

As we structure this new measure, we are seeking feedback on whether the community prefers for the Certified Security Guards to carry a firearm or be unarmed.
