Canadian Centre for Outdoor Play - Community of Practice Registration
The Canadian Centre for Outdoor Play (CCOP) community of practice (CoP) is geared towards early childhood educators across Canada who are interested in and already in support of regularly bringing children outdoors.
The overarching ethos of this CoP is to promote collaboration, avoid duplication of efforts, empower practitioners to promote outdoor play opportunities across a variety of settings, and ensure outdoor early childhood education (ECE) programming is culturally appropriate and place-based.
Some specific goals of this community of practice include the development of quality indicators for pedagogical practices in licensed outdoor ECE programs and the development of an outdoor ECE needs assessments to inform the ongoing development and evolution of outdoor ECE resources and tools.
