Overview:
Solving real-world complex problems is not an easy task. We must follow scientific and systematic methods to solve them. Academia is not disconnected from real-world problem solving. Doing your postgraduate studies may offer legitimate solutions to these real-world problems. However, writing an effective thesis/dissertation is a painful task. We cannot solve real-world complex problem by answering with a simple "yes" or "no". Your thesis/dissertation is far away to be general knowledge or opinion. This workshop will teach you how to write an effective and good thesis/dissertation in social sciences disciplines. It will provide you various practical strategies and methods of writing scientific research. The workshop covers all the 5 chapters of the thesis/dissertation.
Objectives of the workshop
1. To gain a better understanding of various techniques and concepts on academic writing.
2. To help you understand various research designs and methods in social sciences research.
3. To learn the ethical, practical, and methodological considerations for quantitative research.
4. To provide you with tips in drafting effective title, abstract and problem statement, and literature review.
