Pack Hollywood Comedy Festival Application
Welcome to the 1st Annual Pack Hollywood Comedy Festival (PackFest)! The festival will take place from Thursday, August 29th 2024 to Sunday September 1st, 2024. We look forward to welcoming you to our host venue, The Broadwater, and seeing you showcase your comedic skills in Hollywood, CA!

*A non-refundable $25 administration fee ($15 for standups) is required in order to be considered for this festival. The link will be provided in the confirmation message once you complete this form.

The deadline to apply is 11:55PM (PST) on SATURDAY, JUNE 1ST.

Improv and Sketch shows will be a max of 25 mins long. Stand ups will get a 10 min set and host the performance block. Variety and Talk shows potentially would get a 50 min set depending on format.

Please list a link (vimeo, unlisted youtube, etc.) of your performance. Video should be uninterrupted and unedited, so that we can get a good idea of the vibe of your show. Length should be as follows:

Improv - 15 min
Sketch/Variety - 20 min
Stand-Up - 5 min

Last thing! Would members of your group be interested in any of our Festival Community Shows such as our nightly Improv Jam, Sketch Comedy Open Mic, or a Character Showcase?

Tech Acknowledgement

The Pack Hollywood Comedy Festival runs cues using QLab 5 for all sound and video files. We cannot support any other format (no Keynote, no PowerPoint, no Google Slides, etc). In addition, we cannot hook up outside computers to our projector or sound board. If your show requires being run from stage we will be able to provide a Bluetooth clicker for your use with our booth and QLab. If selected, the Technical Director will be in touch with you about the best way to organize and deliver your tech files.

If you only require use of readily available music tracks, you may provide us with a link to a Spotify playlist rather than a QLab file.

A tech operator will be provided to you. We cannot accommodate any outside tech staff. 

The following items are banned from use on stage at the Pack Hollywood Comedy Festival: 
-Glitter (this includes on costumes)
-Confetti
-Live onstage simulated gunshots (cap guns, blanks, etc. SFX okay)
-Fire/smoking (open or closed flame)
-Any liquids that are NOT water

Additionally if any liquids or substances are being used in your show that will cause a mess, a tarp is required to be used.
