ACT Chair Application
The Active Community at Thurgood Marshall is a community service student organization at UCSD. We provide service to the students of Marshall College, students of UCSD, and the larger San Diego community. Each quarter we host several events to benefit the student body or the larger community. Join our Facebook group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/act.ucsd) for updates on meetings and programming!

As Chair, you would hold frequent meetings, plan events, and involve the Marshall community and other student leaders in ACT's work. You are not required to be a current member of ACT! This is a great way to build leadership, effective teamwork, and communication skills!

Specific responsibilities:
Coordination and oversight of event planning and program planning
Social media management (Facebook, in collaboration with pro staff social media managers)
Lead the org's GBMs
Troubleshooting specific issues related to recruitment, membership, retention, engagement, and planning
Collaboration with other Marshall organizations (attending weekly meetings with other Marshall orgs, including all MAPHIA meetings, as mandated by TMCSC bylaws)
Communication with ACT's professional staff advisor
