Nominations for New JAS Officers (Fanuchånan 2024)
Hafa Adai JAS Members,

The position of President-ElectSecretary, and Treasurer-Elect is open for Fanuchånan (Fall) 2024. The nomination period will close on Friday, April 26th at 5 PM. You can nominate others or yourself. Elections will be held on Monday, April 29th, 2024, until Friday, May 3rd, 2024 (5PM).

Qualifications include:
1. Must be a current official member
2. Must be a registered UOG student with at least a 3.000 cumulative GPA prior to the current semester of elections.
3. Must be an Accounting major who has completed BA201 Principles of Managerial Accounting with a grade of "C" or better.
4. Has not violated the Code of Ethics as prescribed in Article III of the JAS Constitution.
5. Must graduate in Fall 2024 or after.

Any applicant found to be guilty of misrepresentation and/or false statements will be subject to suspension from the organization for one academic year.

PRESIDENT-ELECT
Nominee's expected graduation date should be Fall 2025 or after.

Responsibilities of the President-Elect:
a. Shall shadow the roles and duties of the President and shall become officially installed in the semester following the end of the President's term*.
b. Serves as the President in absence of the President. Performs other duties determined by the President.

*The President-Elect must at least serve 2 semesters as an officer (1st semester as President-Elect; 2nd semester as President), and not graduate in the same semester as the President and is subject to the same stipulations and requirements of all other Officers.
TREASURER-ELECT
Nominee's expected graduation should be Fall 2025 or after. 

Responsibilities of the Treasurer-Elect:
a. Shall shadow the roles and duties of the Treasurer and shall become officially installed in the semester following the end of the Treasurer's term. 
b. Serves as the Treasurer in absence of the Treasurer.
c. Performs other duties determined by the President. 

*Treasurer-Elect must at least serve 2 semesters as an officer (1st semester as Treasurer-Elect, 2nd semester as Treasurer), and not graduate in the same semester as the Treasurer and is subject to the same stipulations and requirements of all other officers. 
SECRETARY
Nominee's expected graduation date should be Fall 2024 or after.

Responsibilities for Secretary:
a. Keeps minutes of all meetings and submits to all Officers. 
b. Keeps all the organization’s official forms and documents, including a copy of the Constitution and By-Laws.
c. Initiates correspondence and responds to all requests for written information with the approval of the President.
d. Tracks the attendance, performance, and contribution of all official members and Officers.
e. Submits a copy of the minutes of all general meetings to the Student Life Office, at the Student Life Office.
