Bob Sikes ES is currently accepting nominations to serve on our School Advisory Council (SAC) for the 2023-2024 School Year.
The School Advisory Council (SAC) is a team of people representing various segments of the community – parents, teachers, students, administrators, support staff, business/industry people and other interested community members. The purpose of a SAC is to assist in the preparation and evaluation (developing and evaluating) of the School Performance Plan (SPP) and to assist the principal with the annual school budget. In this capacity, SAC approves plans submitted for distribution of School Recognition Funds (A+ dollars). Additionally, SAC receives funds to be used at the discretion of the School Advisory Committee with the stipulation that a portion of the money is used for implementing the SPP. As a team of individuals representing the community served by the school, SAC plays an important role in providing valuable input and oversight into the school improvement process.
The SAC committee meets at least 4 times a year.
