Please let us know what areas you may be interested in. We will use sign-up genius for some events as it gets closer, we just want to ensure that everyone is receiving the information for the areas they're interested in. We also use the GroupMe chat app for communication within each committee.

We will need multiple parents/volunteers to help with each committee/event/etc..

We will also need a Lead for each committee (the Lead will be the information Liaison between the Committee and the Executive Board)

Below is a bit of information about each category along with the estimated time frame of when help is needed the most for each event:
​**Meal Service for Summer Bands -  needed to pick up the food each day and multiples to help serve meals to the students during Summer Bands (July-August)

**Meal Service for Football Game Days - needed to pick up the food and multiples to help serve meals to the students before Football Games (during the Fall football games - mostly Friday afternoons with some Saturday games) (Fall)

**Meal Service for Winter Guard -  needed to pick up the food and deliver to designated place and/or ensure food is ordered for any away contests. (Winter)

**Bus Chaperone for Football Games & Competitions - Chaperones ride the buses with the students and ensure everyone stays safe and follows the rules. Will need multiple Chaperones for each trip (away games and competitions) (Fall)

**Friendship Basket Exchange - we participate in a Gift Basket Exchange after the half-time show with the opposing team's Band Boosters. We need a small committee to gather items (donated items from local businesses, waters, snacks, etc...) and put together the basket, then have someone responsible for getting it to the game and to our Booster Board and even help deliver to the other team, if desired. (Fall)

**Marchathon Planning - our MAT committee will be planning out our MAT events, food/concessions, t-shirt, prizes for the weekly winners, etc. (August-October)

**Senior Night Planning - our Band Senior Night is typically in October during a home football game where we recognize our Senior Band Students. We host a Tail-Gating Party before the Football Game and we gift each Senior Band Student with a t-shirt made just for them and a few other items. Our committee will help select those items and put everything together for that night. (August-October)

**Mistletoe Market Fundraiser - held in December. We invite vendors to set up tables for their businesses, host a silent auction with donated items from around the community and have a visit from Santa. We need help to spread the word for vendors and collect donations for the silent auction, as well as help with set up, registration, silent auction organization, etc... before and throughout the event. (August-December)

**Tamale Fundraiser - held in November/December with pickup during Mistletoe Market. We need 1-2 persons to pick up the tamales when they're ready and then will need multiple to help sort the tamales and get them ready to distribute during the pickup day. (December)

**Mulch Fundraiser - held in March. We need help to sort the mulch and get it ready for delivery/pickup, as well as to help with delivery/pick up, driving vehicle for deliveries, helping load/unload the deliveries, etc.. We need a committee lead to ensure maps are put together for deliveries and ensure sorting is completed the night before. (March)

**Sponsorship - help with getting the word out to local businesses and individuals who may be interested in Sponsoring or donating to our awesome band. (Year Round with majority of help needed in Spring/Summer)

**Marketing - help with getting word out through Social Media and more when events are coming up or important information needs to be shared. Also helping our VP Marketing with getting Spirit Nights set up and different fundraiser marketed to our Families, Friends & Neighbors. (Year Round)

**Uniform Committee - responsible for ensuring our Band Uniforms are ready for performances: clean, hemmed, mended, etc... (Summer/Fall)

**Spirit Gear - help design new spirit gear, sort, inventory, set up to sell spirit wear at football games and special events, etc...(year round with majority of help needed in Summer/Fall)

**Banquet - held in April/May. help choose location, theme, decor, menu and more to put together our End of Year Annual Banquet. (Venue to be chosen in Summer, event planning from November-April)

**Scholarship Committee - help sort and review Senior Scholarship applications, ensure they match qualifications and tally requirements for eligibility. Can not have a current Senior. (Spring)

**Flight Crew - responsible for ensuring our props are functioning properly and ready for performances, as well as attending the performances (games and competitions) and assisting with getting the props loaded/unloaded and on the field when it's time for a performance. Must purchase a Flight Crew Shirt, but that's also your ticket into the games and competitions.​ (Year Round with majority of help needed during Summer/Fall and some help needed during Winter Guard)

**Winter Guard Crew - our Color Guard has multiple competitions during the Winter Season - we need a few volunteers to assist our Guard Liaison and ensure our Guard Members are taken care of. Meal Plans, competition snacks and more. (Winter)

**Adopt-A-Highway - Our lead will ensure our responsibility is fulfilled for our part of the highway (a section of Kohlers Crossing), schedule our clean-up day and lead our flock that come out to participate. Help will be needed for each scheduled clean-up. (Year Round)

**Popsicles - gather our flock and have them sign up bring/distribute popsicles to the students after the evening band practices. Typically 2-3 persons needed each time. Our Committee Lead is there to ensure that each week is covered and the signup dates are filled. (Summer/Fall)

**Hospitality Committee - Our Hospitality Committee will be responsible for ensuring each event it taken care of when we are needing to provide meals and/or snack items for Judges and Directors (Typically any UIL event hosted at Hays). Our Committee Lead will be the Liaison between the Committee and the Executive Board. (usually needed a few random times throughout the year)

**Concession Committee - we have multiple concession opportunities throughout the year. Our Committee Lead will be responsible for ensuring each event has a Lead and a Committee to collect donations/ensure 'booth' has volunteers to work during the event/time needed. Help always needed for each event to donate items for the concessions and work the booth. (Year Round).

**Meal Planning - 2-3 persons responsible for gathering information from local restaurants (also around areas where our competitions are) and helping choose where to order meals from and set up the orders. (Spring/Summer)

**Competition Committee - Our Competition Committee will be responsible for working with Directors on planning the US Bands Competition and the TCGC Contest that we are hosting. It will involve putting together our volunteers to work before, during and after to ensure the event goes smoothly. Ensuring that our Concession Committee has everything they need, along with any other instructions given by Directors. (Year Round)

**Big Head Fundraiser - 2-3 needed for this Committee. Responsible for gathering the order once it comes in and ensuring it's complete, then settling up times for those that ordered to pick them up. (Late Summer)

Hays CISD Volunteers in Public Schools (VIPs)
"Hays VIPs is the new Hays CISD online volunteer management system.  With Hays VIPs we will be able to keep track of and communicate with our volunteers more effectively from the district and from our schools.

As a volunteer you can select the schools where you want to volunteer and the types of activities that interest you.  Once you setup your account you will be able to login and choose specific volunteer activities from the schools where you want to volunteer and record your hours after volunteering.
