Interviews and Facilitated Conversations Availability- February 2024
The level of participation of people of Global Majority Heritage in the Church of England has been a source of concern for a long time. There is the need to understand what is happening at different levels. For example, do people of GMH have a harder time in the discernment process, training and curacy and if so, why? Do they struggle more than others to make a transition from curacy to incumbency? Why are there so few GMH people in senior leadership roles in the Church? To what extent do GMH people aspire to contribute to church life through ministry and leadership?
The Archbishops’ Racial Justice Commission has commissioned research to ascertain the facts and the underlying reasons behind them. The research team led by Prof Paul Miller is holding facilitated conversations (i.e. group discussion). We hope you will be able to take part. Please use the link below to book a place. We have provided several dates in February, March and April. You can sign up for either or both a facilitated conversation and a one-to-one interview.
Facilitated Conversations will be lead in groups of up to 20 persons in a focus group setting (online).
