Come be part of an engaging and thought provoking professional development opportunity this summer.  The National Urban Alliance for Effective Education will be offering a learning institute focused on CEO Yvette Jackson's book The Pedagogy of Confidence.  Participants will explore and build upon Dr. Jackson's principles focusing on leveraging student strengths.   Participants will have the opportunity to connect the dots between the historical, cultural, cognitive, and neuroscience research that debunks deficit narrative myths about student achievement and more importantly, better equips educators to create meaningful and transformative learning for their students.
