Instructor: Mr. Alex Baines (ELP Graduate Intern, PhD Student in Theatre & Drama)
Meeting Information: Tuesdays, 12:30 - 1:30 PM, Remote vis Northwestern ZOOM
Description: This conversation small group centers on the enormously popular comedy TV show Parks & Recreation, which ran from 2009-2015. The series focuses on minor government official Leslie Knope and the bizarre and hilarious interactions between her team in the Parks and Recreation Department of Pawnee, Indiana. Each week, we’ll watch an episode together as a group and discuss the various aspects of American life and culture which are represented in the story, as well as reflect on the show itself. This is a perfect listening and speaking-focused small group -> Watch TV in an informal and friendly setting and then talk about what we've watched!
