DESCRIPTION: On this trip we will walk a short distance from the interpretive center platform looking primarily for American Woodcock calling and doing their amazing aerial displays. We will also listen for Virginia Rails, Sora, and Wilson's Snipe, along with ducks coming into the wetlands at dusk.

illinois.birds@gmail.comSITE INFORMATION (trail conditions, etc.): The trails are a mix of gravel and dirt paths. They are often very muddy with a good deal of standing water and puddles, especially if it has been raining recently. Wear waterproof boots, if possible.
KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
You will want to dress warmly. It can be breezy and chilly once the sun goes down.
