Testify for #CareNotCuts at the Council Cultural Affairs/Libraries Hearing

Sign up to get draft testimony & be a part of organized People's Plan #CareNotCuts response!

The New York City Council is holding a hearing on the Mayor's fiscal year 2024 preliminary budget on Monday, March 20. Public comment will start at 2:00 PM. We need community members to testify or submit written testimony* about how harmful cuts to libraries and cultural institutions are to New Yorkers — and what we want (investments in libraries) instead!

The People's Plan will be providing talking points to all those who submit testimony. To get instructions and sample testimony to submit, please fill out the form below.

*You can submit written testimony until Wednesday 3/22/23 close of business.
