Postal ballots are accompanied by a Borang 2 that must be signed by a witness who is a Malaysian citizen over the age of 18. We have appealed to the Election Commission to remove the requirement that the witness must be Malaysian, but as far as we know this requirement is still in force.
If you are a Malaysian living overseas and would be willing to coordinate and assist other Malaysians to meet the requirements to complete Borang 2, in your local area, please leave your name and a minimum of 1 method people can use to contact you, that you are comfortable sharing with others. This information will be shared on our official social media only when the EC announces the date of GE15 and confirms/finalizes the regulations for postal voting in GE15.
Please coordinate and assist in a public place (e.g. park, cafe) for safety reasons and do not allow anyone to offer or accept financial compensation for being a witness.
