What Worked, What Needs to Change
The Nebraska Democratic Party is writing our plans for the 2023 Lincoln City elections and the 2024 elections where state legislative races as well as House and both US Senate seats will be on the ballot. Let us know what worked, what do we need to do better and what are your ideas to turn out more voters for our candidates while we continue to build the brand of Democrats across the state. You can also join us in-person or via zoom for an event to debrief this cycle. Those events will be posted in early December on our social media.

The NDP invests in voter turnout programs that help the entire Democratic ticket. Which programs do you think we should continue to fund in 2023 and 2024?
Block Captains (volunteers that get assigned 50 voters in their community they talk to 3 times every year)
Vote By Mail (sending applications to voters, tracking applications, calling/texting to get them returned)
Voter Guides (guides sent to voters that list all the Dems in their county that will be on the ballot)
Postcards to voters (handwritten messages about voting).
Texting voters on issues and candidates.
Phone banks to chase ballots.

The NDP provides various services to candidates, county parties, caucuses and councils. Please let us know which services you think are helpful.
Basic VAN (we give the basic voter file free to all candidates/county parties; small fee for enhanced van that gives voter scores, candidates IDs and more)
Sending at least one email to our list of supporters for either fundraising or introductory purposes.
Contacts of key party leaders and block captains in their district to assist with building their campaign validators and infrastructure.
Drive-thru yard sign distribution.
Press release distribution.
Monthly campaign training.
Candidate Training Manual.
Party Leader (i.e. SCC) Training Manual.
County Chair Training Manual.
Overview of the district including win rate.
List of vendors (e.g. printers for yard signs, website developers, etc).
List of campaign staff and canvassers.
Social media amplification (e.g. NDP sends tweet or FB post about an upcoming candidate fundraiser)

The NDP holds three fundraisers every year--Salute to State Senators (in the Spring), Doris Morgan BBQ (in the Summer) and Kerrey Nelson (in the Fall). We also encourage individuals to be monthly donors to help build the party infrastructure. Are you likely to attend the events or be a monthly donor?

Candidates of Color Fund (resources to assist candidates to start their campaigns).
Frank LaMere Grassroots Fellows (rural organizers, we have one right now and want to grow).
Roadtrips with Candidates (e.g. Blood Drives).
Townhalls on issues (e.g. Burgers + Beers on the 30x30 program).
Mobile offices (an entire kit candidates/counties can use with professional tent and materials).
Welcome to the Party Events (twice a month online FB Live events where we highlight the party and candidates).
