This webinar provides an overview of several competitive graduate fellowships for STEM students.

1. The National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowships Program (NSF GRFP) supports outstanding graduate students in NSF-supported science, technology, engineering, and mathematics disciplines, who plan to pursue research-based master's and doctoral degrees at accredited US institutions.

2. The Hertz Foundation is looking for top students - preferably seniors or first year graduate students with a focus in the applied physical and biological sciences, mathematics or engineering.

3. The GEM Fellowship (sponsored by a network of leading corporations, government laboratories, top universities, and top research institutions) enables qualified students from underrepresented communities to pursue graduate education in applied science and engineering.

4. The Science, Mathematics and Research for Transformation (SMART) Scholarship-for-Service Program is an opportunity for students pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines to receive a full scholarship and guaranteed civilian employment with the Department of Defense (DoD) upon degree completion.

LMU STEM students  are invited to learn more about these awards, including eligibility requirements and application timelines.
