Faith Formation
Faith Formation classes are general religious instruction for the K-5 students. These are attended within the parish on Sunday morning, or within the school day for those attending Queen of Peace Academy or St. Patrick School.
Sacramental Preparation
Students must attend two full years (1st and 2nd grade) of Faith Formation classes to be considered eligible for the sacrament classes. These are Formation classes attended within the parish on Sunday morning, or within the school for those attending Queen of Peace Academy or St. Patrick School.
It is Diocesan policy that all Sacramental Preparation classes are held separately from, and in addition to, the Faith Formation classes. All 2nd grade children who will be receiving Reconciliation or Communion for the first time must attend our Sacramental Preparation classes which will be conducted as follows:
Five (5) classes in the Fall & Seven (7) classes in the Spring
at the following times:
Saturdays 9:00 - 10:00 am Or Wednesdays 4:00-5:00 pm Or Wednesdays 6:30 - 7:30 pm
Class sizes will be limited, and will depend on volunteer Catechists available for each time slot.
Update:
At this time we are planning to hold all Faith Formation and Sacramental Preparation classes in person. As the Summer progresses we will assess circumstances and adjust these plans as needed. Safety protocols will be the same ones followed in our Queen of Peace Catholic Academy, and will be published at summer's end. If you have any questions or concerns at this time, please contact Lisa McQuagge at 352-448-4548, or

Students who have not yet been baptized, or students 2nd grade or older who have not been attending Faith Formation classes will attend RCIA classes on Sunday morning, and when ready, Sacrament classes on Wednesday night. Those families should contact Sr. Beatrice Caulson directly to register. 352-332-6279 Ext 117
