Kinder Camp: June 6 - July 1, 2022 (Interest Forms Accepted May 2 - 6)

A Kindergarten Readiness Program offered to children entering Kindergarten in the Fall of 2022 at California Avenue Elementary and Mesa Verde Elementary. Kinder Camp will help facilitate the transition to the school environment. Children will learn classroom structure and curriculum basics, build social-emotional skills, build motor skills and engage in hands-on activities. For parents, we will offer workshops on positive parenting, oral health, safety and nutrition.

This year Kinder Camp will be held at Mesa Verde Elementary, June 6 - July 1, Monday - Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Due to limited spaces, enrollment will be by lottery, and priority is given to NEW TK/Kinder students who have not participated in the program in the past. Enrollment will be confirmed by May 20 by the CASA del Rio staff (subject to change).

To be included in the lottery, you must submit the Interest Form by May 6 at midnight. Hard copies will not be accepted, and late forms will not be included in the lottery. Complete one form for each child (exception for twins).

Campamento de Kinder: 6 de junio - 1 de julio de 2022 (Formularios de interés aceptados del 2 al 6 de mayo)

Un programa de preparación para Kindergarten que se ofrece a los niños que ingresan al Kínder en el otoño de 2022 en las escuelas primarias California Avenue y Mesa Verde. Kínder Camp ayudará a facilitar la transición al entorno escolar. Los niños aprenderán la estructura del aula y los conceptos básicos del plan de estudios, desarrollarán habilidades socioemocionales, desarrollarán habilidades motoras y participarán en actividades prácticas. Para los padres, ofreceremos talleres sobre crianza positiva, salud bucal, seguridad y nutrición.

Este año, el campamento de kínder se llevará a cabo en la primaria Mesa Verde, del 6 de junio al 1 de julio, de lunes a viernes, de 8:00 a. m. a 12:00 p. m. Debido a los espacios limitados, la inscripción será por sorteo y se dará prioridad a los estudiantes NUEVOS de TK/Kinder que no hayan participado en el programa en el pasado. La inscripción será confirmada antes del 20 de mayo por el personal de CASA del Rio (sujeto a cambios).

Para ser incluido en la lotería, debe enviar el Formulario de Interés antes del 6 de mayo a la medianoche. No se aceptarán copias impresas y los formularios tardíos no se incluirán en la lotería. Complete un formulario para cada niño (excepto para mellizos).
