On Tuesday, May 24, 2022 8th grade students in Life Science will be working with Clyde River Adventures. During this learning opportunity students will be introduced to canoeing / kayaking on the Clyde River. Emphasis will be on safety, while exploring our natural resources. We will also be introduced to our impact on the resources including our rights and responsibilities. This will be a team building exercise in which we hope to explore healthy choices and encourage lifetime physical activities. Students will be expected to journal about their experiences and will be given prompts in their core classes.
 
-Students will need to bring a bag lunch from home or will need to sign up for a bag lunch from school.
*Students should sign up for the “bagged lunch” option on the meal order form for this date if a bagged lunch will be needed.
-Appropriate dress will depend on the weather; layers are best for different temperatures will be experienced throughout the day.
-Sneakers will be the suggested footwear, spare socks are recommended.
-All school rules are in effect during the excursion.
-Life jackets will be worn by all people while on the water.
-Students will return to school prior to the regular bus departures.

Permission slip must be returned no later than Monday, May 23, 2022.
