We want to hear from you!

Scotch Plains-Fanwood Public Schools is planning a bond referendum, and you may be wondering “what does that mean?” A bond referendum is simply a vote in which the community decides whether the district can borrow money to fund school construction projects. Districts across New Jersey use bond referenda to fund projects that would be difficult to fit within the regular budget.

You may also be wondering “why now? The student population in our district is expected to continue growing – therefore we need more space. The district wants to carefully select referendum projects that are eligible for the maximum amount of state aid (up to 34%) to help cover project costs and keep taxes lower.

In this early stage, we are seeking community input – your input – as we narrow the list of desires into a more practical plan that will benefit our schools for decades. Please complete the following short survey, which should take less than 10 minutes.
