Puerto Rican filmmaker Marisol Gómez Mouakad will lead a student workshop discussing cinema, race and gender in the context of Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. The workshop will be held in English with space for comments and questions in Spanish. Optional readings and audiovisual materials will be circulated in advance to registered students, that will help to frame the topics from the workshop.

Open to all University of Michigan Students. Light Refreshments will be served.
