Music Production Camp Form
Please fill out all questions and remit payment before June 30.

When:  July 22nd-25th
9am- 2pm

Where: Pilgrim Lutheran School (with a field trip to a recording studio)

Who:  Available to all incoming 4th graders - incoming 8th graders (max of 15 students total)

Why:  Due to the popularity of this year’s music production camp, and since not everyone was able to get a spot in the elective class, Mr. Yearick has decided to offer this week-long workshop to dive deeper into some of the recording, editing, and mixing techniques that the students explored in class, and also place more emphasis on recording live sounds and producing beats and samples.

What:  Students will learn the basics of recording, editing, and mixing their own music.  They will produce an original song within small groups, and will take a field trip to get hands-on experience in a professional recording studio with professional musicians and audio engineers.

How:  The students will use a free program on their laptops, along with recording equipment supplied by Mr. Yearick.  They are also encouraged to bring in their own instruments and think up lyrics for their songs, as well.

How much:  $300 (sibling discount available)

More details:  Students will bring their own bag lunch every day, and a late morning healthy snack will be provided by Mr. Yearick each day.  Please fill out the attached sheet and remit payment by June 30th.  We’ll need at least 8 students to run, and the max will be 15.

Date for the field trip will be confirmed closer to the camp.  We will likely charter a bus.

We will likely be in Maring Hall or the annex, but may move around the building to find quiet or more reverberant spots to record.

Pickup will be at the front door.
