The Strong Like AK Teen Leadership Committee will function within the organization and work collaboratively with the Board of Directors. We believe in our community's youth and value their ideas, concerns, and perspective. We hope that working together will create a substantial impact not only in our society but worldwide.
 
The teens chosen will have a unique opportunity to learn about the functions and demands of being a board member, as well as develop leadership skills, engage donors, participate in and organize fundraisers, build community awareness, represent other youth and teens throughout the community, and nurturing a heart of service. This is an excellent opportunity to serve outside school hours and gain volunteer experience for college applications. We hope that the Teen Leadership Committee members will carry these skills with them in the future as they continue to serve our community and support children fighting pediatric cancer.
