Ascend at UC Davis is a business and leadership organization that strives to connect our members with professionals through our events and networking opportunities.
We inspire others by helping you build your leadership and professional skills through our workshops, guest speaker events and socials.
As a student chapter of Ascend NorCal, we also provide many opportunities to network with hundreds of professionals from the Big 4 accounting firms, Google, Facebook, HSBC, Wells Fargo, and more!

Ascend UC Davis offers you the chance to join one of our four committees: Professional Development, Career Development, Marketing, and Information Technology.

Here are the descriptions for each committee:

Professional Development
•  Develop communication skills by connecting and coordinating with guest speakers
•  Expand your professional circle with our various networking events
•  Collaborate with Board leaders to create and host ASCEND workshops
•  Responsible for maintaining Ascend UCD’s strong sense of community and inclusiveness within Ascend

Career Development
•  Increase awareness of different fields and career opportunities through workshops hosted by school faculties  
•  Develop skills to increase competitiveness and knowledge for members through workshops
•  Help our members with public speaking skills through hosting events and going to networking events

Marketing
•  Promote Ascend events and workshops via social media platforms
•  Formulate and implement an effective marketing strategy for the organization
•  Design promotional flyers for future events
•  Maintain Ascend’s brand and image as a professional business organization focused on fostering members’
   professionalism and leadership skills

Informational Technology
•  Work with the IT Vice President to update the Ascend UCD website
•  Document and capture significant moments from past events
