What are Peer Support Circles?
These are clinician-led small discussion groups, which research shows can increase quality of life by reducing feelings of stress and burnout. This recurring group is well-suited for individuals of Asian descent who are looking to connect with peers to discuss culturally-specific topics, and who are interested in experiencing Anise's tailored approach to mental health care in a light-touch setting.

Asian Mental Health: A Crash Course in Emotional Intelligence. Participants will meet for one hour a week across 6 weeks to understand the impact of APIDA cultural factors, intersectionality, and stigma's impact on our current emotions, grow our feelings dictionary, apply strategies for stress management and boundary-setting, and dive deeper into Asian guilt, resentment, and ultimatums.
Asian Men's Mental Health Discussion Group. Male-identifying participants will explore healthy masculinity to improve mental health, dating, relationships, career and life purpose. Therapist Samuel Shin will utilize a framework for masculinity that comes from psychology adapted for Asian men, including the archetypes of the King & Warrior, Magician & Lover.

New Parents and Caregivers Circle: Does the pressure of being a "good parent" feel overwhelming? Are you experiencing postpartum depression or want to talk openly about maternal health. Join this group with other caregivers to connect, vent, and learn about ways to be kinder to yourself:
Dating Authentically and Navigating Romantic Relationships: We all know how draining and tough it can be to date intentionally. This is especially difficult if we are pressured to fulfill demanding family and cultural expectations around dating and marriage, and if we are considering unconventional dating structures or inter-racial relationships. This group will help participants learn how to navigate the dating process with authenticity, confidence, and awareness.
