NJOTA Call for Papers 2023
Thank you for your interest in presenting at the NJOTA 2023 Motivate Fall Conference. In lieu of a specific theme for conference, NJOTA is shifting to an annual theme of motivation to align with our mOTivators campaign. We hope presenters and attendees will leave conference feeling reinvigorated, inspired, and motivated to make a difference in the world. 

This year's conference will be held in person at Kean University on Sunday, October 22nd, 2023.

Please complete this form in its entirety as fields are required. The deadline for submission is August 20, 2023.

Notification of acceptance will be by email the first week of September.

The acceptance of your proposal by the NJOTA conference committee depends upon the following criteria:.

1. The proposal topic is timely
2. The proposal topic demonstrates relevance to occupation-based practice
3. The proposal topic is supported by available literature and evidence
4. The proposal abstract articulates purpose and content of presentation
5. The proposal learning objectives are appropriate and clearly stated
6. The proposal level of material is appropriate for the identified target audience
7. The proposal references are current and relevant, and indicate that ample support
8. The proposal is coherent and clearly written

Accepted Proposal Terms and Conditions
In the event that your proposal is accepted for the 2023 NJOTA Motivate Conference, you must agree to the following:

1.  Once a proposal is accepted as a session, changes to the proposal cannot be made.
2.  All OT, OTA, and student presenters whose proposals are accepted for presentation must register for the Conference. Contributing authors who are not presenting/attending are not required to register.
3.  Notification will be sent by e-mail to the primary presenter only the first week of September 2023 regarding acceptance of proposals.
4.  Presenters must observe all copyright, royalties, and trademark laws and will have written permission for any literary or artistic work that is presented.
5.  As part of our effort to go green, please include a QR code for attendees to download copies of the presentation and any handouts for the start of your presentation.
6. NJOTA reserves the right to assign time for accepted proposals unless a conflict is clearly stated in this proposal submission.
