Application form

An exploratory workshop run by puppeteer and director Gavin Glover and hosted by the wonderful Atelier Libusin approximately 40km north-west of Prague.

The DARKER side of Puppetry - explores the strange symbiotic bond between puppet and performer. By challenging the traditions in which we normally perform with a puppet, we start to see this relationship in a completely new light. Intriguing and sometimes slightly unsettling, this alternative approach to contemporary puppetry will endeavour to create some very surprising and moving theatre.

Suitable for any curious theatre maker, actor, dancer, clown, puppeteer.

Puppetry experience is NOT necessary.

Participants may be asked to bring a number of objects to use during the workshop.

Workshop fee

The price for the DARKER side of Puppetry workshop is 150.00€

If selected for the workshop, we will send you our bank details and we will ask you to pay 75.00€ to secure the place by 3rd May and the remainder to be paid by 20th May 2024.

There is an option to pay in cash.

Accommodation - There are no private rooms but there is an option to stay in a comfortable shared room (2 or 3 beds per room) onsite at the address for a small fee.

Unfortunately there is no space for a tent onsite but there is space for 1 or 2 camper-vans.

Personal Insurance - As a precaution you will be asked to sign a waiver form when you arrive as we cannot accept responsibility for personal injury, damage or loss of belongings during your time at Atelier Libusin.

If you are interested, Gavin will also be running a second workshop Micro Cinema Theatre at Atelier Libusin for 3 days 24th-26th May.

Accommodation should be available for the 2 days between the workshops if you need it.

The price for this workshop is also 150.00€

The total for attending both workshops is 300.00€
