As part of a series to learn about the experiences of refugees in the United States, Peer to Peer will be hosting Ed Beetar on October 28th.
Ed Beetar is a professional translator, amateur standup comedian, and committed social activist. In 2013, he moved from Syria to the US because of escalated war in the region. Before fleeing, he worked as a journalist in Aleppo, boosting recognition of various social and cultural events across the city. Shortly after settling in the US, Ed co-founded KAMA DC, and became a member of the #1JourneyFestival Core Team; both work on advocating the refugees cause. Recently, after getting his US citizenship, he founded “TranslatorAlliance.com” a platform for clients to communicate directly with the A-List translators to save their times and costs.
The event will be held Wednesday, October 28th at 4:45pm on Zoom. Please join us!
