During these visits, participants will engage in various activities aimed at involvement, including:
Q&A on mini-horse health and care
Opportunities to pet or groom
Feed healthy treats (in moderation!)
Our top priority is the well-being of our Sanctuary Residents. Each visit is carefully planned to ensure they remain comfortable, safe, and stress-free. Their participation is limited to short, manageable sessions, and all site visits adhere to our Sanctuary’s requirements
While we do not charge for a Hooves of Happiness visit, we kindly request a $50 donation to the Sanctuary to help support the program’s expenses. These include care for Catwoman, transportation costs, and program material costs.
The Hooves of Happiness Program operates seasonally, from the end of March (weather permitting) to mid-December, depending on the weather.
Duration of Visits: Visits typically last 1 hour to 1 ½ hours, including time for arrival, setup, and departure.
During this time, participants engage directly with the Sanctuary mini-horse for approximately 35-45 minutes.
These visits occur both indoors and outdoors. Catwoman has indoor shoes and a diaper. She is also capable of riding in an elevator if needed.
We are excited to offer this experience and look forward to sharing the joy of connecting with our residents with you!
