Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a lot of businesses, public and voluntary sector employers have seen a shift to remote and hybrid working schemes allowing more flexibility in the workplace.
Forest of Dean District Council has also introduced agile working and recognises how long term isolation can impact upon physical and mental health and wellbeing of staff. The Council appreciates that having an opportunity to take a break from home during the working day and to be able to work from a local café, coffee shop, restaurant or community space can offer a welcome refuge whilst helping to boost trade for the hard hit hospitality sector at the same time.
The Council is working with local Town & Parish Councils to safely welcome back local people and visitors to our high streets and village centres. This activity will include the creation and promotion of a new online directory called Remote Forest. This simple digital tool will showcase all Forest businesses who are happy to welcome remote workers through their doors.
Remote Forest will offer a free listing to any Forest business who would like to participate. To be included please complete this short survey.
