In Paul's First Letter to the Corinthians (chapter 15, verse 3), he says that "Christ died for our sins in accordance with the scriptures." The Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC), paragraph 601 tells us that the Scriptures also "foretold this divine pan of salvation...[this] mystery of universal redemption...that would free [us] from the slavery of sin." So, you see, long before Jesus was born, the People of God knew that God had a plan to save them. They knew God was going to send someone. Jesus was the one whom God sent. Actually, the whole life of Jesus was an offering to God, the Father (CCC, 606). Jesus laid down his life for us because he loves us so, so much. What should our response be to this? Please write in a short answer. *
We are sinners. True or False *
Sin separates us from God. True or False *
If sin did not separate us from God, then we would not need to go to confession and be reconciled to God on account of our sins. Since we are taught that we need to be reconciled to God by going to confession, then we know that sin must separate us from God. "Reconcile" means to bring together again! Therefore, you should have answered "True" for the previous question. Agree? *
People deserve to suffer the consequences of their choices. True or False *
If someone chooses to sin, then they deserve to suffer the consequences? True or False *
If we sin, then this separates us from God. What would life be like if we were separated from God? Please write a short answer, at lease three sentences. *
If we become separated from God, then how do we become unseparated from him? In other words, how do we become reconciled to God? Please write in your answer. *
