Community Mentorship Registration

So, You Want To Be Mentored

Thank you for your interest in wanting to further yourself here in Greater Grand Forks. A GGFYP Mentee seeks to develop themselves both professionally and personally, seeking valuable knowledge and wanting to further themselves in all aspects of young professional life. They are passionate about this community, and are eager to learn more about it.

A Mentee will be matched with one Mentor, and will be guided in their endeavors. Mentees will be given information about their matched Mentor prior to meeting, to ensure the best match is possible

Time Commitment

I understand the time commitment of being a GGFYP Mentee spans a 6 month period and consists of the following minimum tasks:

3 In-Person Meetings

3 Virtual Check-Ins

1 Virtual Check-In from a YP representative (After 3 months)

1 Young Professional/Community Event

In Person Meetings should be conducted at area establishments to help support local business. Keeping in mind that not all mentees are 21+ years old.

Virtual Check-Ins can be done via the Mentor and Mentee’s preferred virtual communication method. This may include, but is not limited to:

E-mail

Text Messaging

Band App Messaging

Zoom

Microsoft Teams

The aforementioned is the minimum commitment the Greater Grand Forks Young Professionals Board of Directors asks of our Mentors and Mentees. I understand, as a Mentee, I am able to seek additional support and mentoring outside of this commitment, and am doing so under my own volunteerism and interest in bettering myself and the community.
