Thank you for your interest in stewarding for the Edinburgh march as part of the End Fossil Fuels Global Day of Action!

This September, millions of people around the world will take to the streets to demand a rapid, just, and equitable end to fossil fuels as world leaders gather at the United Nations' Climate Ambition Summit in New York. In Scotland, the Edinburgh Climate Coalition and Friends of the Earth Scotland have initiated a mobilisation and series of outreach events in solidarity with the global campaign with the support from wider environmental groups. The march will be taking place on the 16th September in Edinburgh, joining the voices of millions of people across the globe.

We are looking for volunteers to help with stewarding for the Edinburgh march. Your role is simply to help keep the march moving to plan, and make sure everyone is safe and has the support they need. No experience is required. We'll provide you with all the guidance you need either through written materials or through an induction prior to the march.

We'd ask you to be at The Mound at 10 AM on the day of the march, in order to have enough time for a steward briefing and help direct people as they start assembling.

We may also need people who are first aid trained or people to help with set up and take down at the start or end points of the march. Please let us know in the form below if you'd be happy to help with any of those roles.

This is a family friendly march which it will go via UK government building and end at the Scottish Parliament.
