1. INFORMATION ABOUT WRITING & STEM INTENSIVE
Designed for children with an advanced or native understanding of English, this intensive workshop targets skills critical for success in international learning environments. Children learn how to navigate inquiry-based learning and develop their problem-solving and reflection skills through writing workshops and STEM challenges. Class size is limited to maximize personalized learning. This year, there will be two learning groups differentiated by age skill level, and a total attendance of 15-20 children per week.
LLKobe's Writing & STEM Intensive welcomes children ages 6-12. Children must be at least 6 years old by June 26, 2023.

2. INFORMATION ABOUT MIDDLE YEARS INTENSIVE MORNING PROGRAM
MYIM is a supplementary program planned for Summer 2023 intended to cover the skills needed to succeed in the Language & Literature and Humanities courses at IB schools. This program is intended for students of the IB Programme who are self motivated independent readers. The class size will be 6 students for 2023. Though the goal is to prepare students for the IB DP, the reading and writing level will be adjusted for the student's grade level.
The program will run from 9:00-12:00, where students will study Language and Literature topics in MYIL (Middle Years Intensive Literature). Then, if you choose to do the full day, from 13:00-15:30, younger students will have the option of joining the afternoon STEM and Makers Space time with Writing & STEM Intensive.

What are the differences between Writing & STEM Intensive and Middle Years Intensive?
Writing & STEM Intensive is designed to teach students ages 6 to 12 about the process of writing. Each week, students cover age-appropriate reading skills, writing fundamentals and grammar. This course is designed to help students learn to write flexibly and enthusiastically to prepare them for international school writing programs.
Middle Years Intensive (MYI) will cover the additional writing and analysis skills required by the IB Middle Years Programme and similar programs. It is recommended for students ages 13 to 17. Students will learn how to analyze text by professional writers and participate in discussions about those works. These workshops will introduce students to the structure of the MYP Language and Literature program.

Summer Intensive Programs Cancellation Policy*:- Cancellations made before May 19, 2023: 100% refund
- Cancellations made between May 20, 2023 and June 11, 2023: 75% refund
- Cancellations made between June 12, 2023 and the end of the first day of the program: 50% refund
- Cancellations made after the first day of the program: No refund
*Bank transfer fees incurred for any refunds will be deducted from program fees
