Journalism Internship Application (JRN 493)
What is an internship?

An internship allows a student to work in a real-life career setting like the one they hope to pursue after graduation. Sometimes it even leads to employment after graduation. Internships will vary in length but to earn credit we encourage they be at least 10 weeks long, providing direct contact with an internship coordinator or industry professional.
Students can intern for any for-profit or non-profit firm to gain work experience.  Students may pursue internships at MSU as long as they are not supervised by another student. Students should pursue opportunities that promote journalism related tasks (Writing, Visual Communication, Audio/Video story-telling, Public Relations, etc.).
