Programs: The A&H provides 4 unique experiences to engage with art and history on our National Historic Landmark campus!
- Historic Architecture Tour PLUS Outdoor Art Workshop (Printmaking or Sketching in the Garden): Join us for an inspiring architecture tour of our National Historic Landmark campus. You will learn about our founder Jules Andre' Smith, who was an architect, artist and master printmaker, and view some of his 2,500 concrete etchings and murals created almost 100 years ago. After the tour, we will explore the art of printmaking through a guided printmaking lesson. Students will have an opportunity to create art in our garden. You can choose from outdoor sketching or a guided printmaking lesson. This program ends with an engaging photo scavenger hunt!
- Telephone Museum Plus 3D Sculpture Workshop: Begin with a guided tour of our Telephone Museum and explore the history of the Winter Park Telephone Company. Afterwards, combine art and technology as students create a 3D sculpture using telephone wire!
- Waterhouse Residence & Carpenter Shop Museums at Lake Lily: Step back in time and discover the Victorian era of the Waterhouse Family! Learn about architecture in the 1880's and explore the tools Mr. Waterhouse used to build the Waterhouse Residence in our Carpenter Shop Museum. Students will go on a scavenger hunt as they explore the architecture outside the Waterhouse Residence and then become an architect by sketching their own Victorian era home.
