In accordance with the bylaws of the Perrywood Elementary PTA, members of the PTA are responsible for nominating candidates for all elected positions. We are asking for your recommendation for PTA officers and chairpersons.
It is fundamental to our organization that we fill these positions with interested and dedicated parents who are committed to the well-being of our students, staff, and families. Those elected will serve for a minimum of one ear with a two-year maximum term.
Job Description:
President - presides over all Executive Committee meetings, PTA Board meetings, and general body PTA meetings; organizes agenda for meetings, communicate regularly with the school's Administration and PTA Treasurer regarding the allocation of monies; Responds to information requests from parents and staff.
Vice-President - Assists the President with all duties. Maintains the PTA calendar. Expected tr assume the role of PTA President at the expirat of term. Responsible for primary fundraising for the school year. Keeps accurate records and forwards monies to the treasurer.
Treasurer - Receives and disburses all monies as prescribed by the by-laws; Maintains accurate and detailed financial records to present to the PTA board and at general PTA meetings monthly; Prepares an annual financial report, submits the financials for monthly audit, files tax return(s) as required, prepares the budget.
Secretary - Records, compiles & distributes minutes of all PTA Board meetings; Maintains and moderates the PTA
