More than reading tutoring...

Join us for our 1-1 literacy intervention sessions at the Sanford Speech Therapy and Learning Center. Sessions run for 8 weeks. The goal is to provide individual support in reading comprehension and/or fluency for children who have struggled to gain these skills in groups, at school, etc.

Our individual 1-1 sessions are geared toward neurodiverse children (Autism, ADHD, dyslexia, learning difficulties, anxiety, etc.) ages 9-18 years.

Our instructor is Yashna Bowen, M.S., Literacy Specialist and Educational Consultant. She specializes in adapting evidence-based methodologies to children who need differentiated learning while using her research background in neuroscience and brain development to preserve the validity of the methods. Lastly, having knowledge of how deeply socio-emotional well-being affects learning, Yashna makes sure she is conscious of when her students’ emotional needs need to take priority.

DAYS/TIMES: Tuesdays and Fridays afterschool between 3:00-6:30pm
