Climbing and Associated Activities
WARNING: ROCK CLIMBING, WHETHER ROPED OR BOULDERING, AND ASSOCIATED ACTIVITIES ARE INHERENTLY DANGEROUS AND CAN RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY AND / OR DEATH

Read this carefully before committing yourself / your child to climbing. If you have any doubts about any of the following, please do ask for clarification. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept the risks involved while also being responsible for their own actions and involvement.

I therefore acknowledge that all types of rock climbing,activities include a danger of personal injury or death and that I am aware of and accept these risks and am responsible for my own / my child's actions and involvement as a participant in these activities.

I hereby acknowledge to read and sign Gebla's, "the Gym", Waiver form and follow the rules and regulations imposed by Gebla during the bouldering competition.

I also hereby understand that the Malta Climbing Club (MCC)/ClimbMT is a club made up of amateur climbers who endeavour to follow safety procedures when climbing or practising other related activities. I accept there will always be an element of risk for which the club cannot take responsibility. Rock-climbing and all other forms of rock / mountain sport are activities which require a culture of personal responsibility, safety and self-reliance.

I hereby acknowledge to exonerate the MCC/ClimbMT from any liability or responsibility of whatever nature or cause, arising from any loss or injury which may be suffered while climbing, utilising MCC/ClimbMT facilities or equipment or participating in any climbing-related activities, indoors, outdoors, whether organised by the MCC/ClimbMT or not.

Photography and Video

The General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act (Cap. 586 of the Laws of Malta) regulate the processing of personal data, whether held electronically or in manual form. MCC/ClimbMT is set to fully comply with all applicable Data Protection laws and regulations.

In this regard, your permission and consent to take photography and / or video recording during the activities and events being organised by the Club and to further utilise such photography and / or video recording for print and digital promotional material, including on the Club's website and / or social media platforms, is being requested in this Membership Form.

Please note that MCC/ClimbMT is not liable for any issues that may arise when photography and / or video recording material is copied from any relevant media channels and distributed via social media, email or any other means by third parties.
