Your goals & background as an artist
Write a brief statement about what your goals are with the doc you are submitting. Tell us where you are in your development as an artist, and if there are any specific parts of the writing process that you are struggling with. 

If you have questions regarding your docs,  please include those as well. The more you tell us about yourself, the more equipped we will be able to provide effective insight.

Sharing your portfolio with us (optional)
We provide the option for you to share your portfolio with us, in order to contextualize your document and understand your studio practice better. While this is optional, we strongly recommend that you share our portfolio with us so we can get a better sense of you as an artist. 

We will not be critiquing any of your portfolio in your edits. The portfolio is really helpful so we can be sure your doc is matching what is represented in your portfolio. 

Please place your images in a Google Drive folder. Please do not email us attachments of your images.
Sharing your statement & artwork via Google Drive 

STATEMENT DOC

1. Create a folder in Google Drive and name it with your first and last name.

2. Create a Google Doc inside that folder. 

3. Copy and paste your CV/resume into that Google Doc.

4.  Right click on this Google Doc, and select “Share."

5.  Make sure it's set to "Anyone on the internet with this link can edit." 

PORTFOLIO IMAGES

6. Be sure all your image files are JPGs, please do not send us HEIC files. If you have HEIC files and need to convert them, you can do so here.

7. Upload JPG files of your artworks  into that folder. (Limit 15 images)For each 2D artwork, submit only 1 JPG file.  For 3D artworks, you may submit 1-2 JPG files per artwork.

8. Rename each JPG file like this: “Your name_001.jpg.” , “ Your name_  002.jpg”, “ Your name_  003.jpg.”  This way, images are easily referenced.

9. In Google Drive, right click on your folder, and select “Share."

10. In the window that pops up, go to where it says "Get link."

11. Make sure it's set to "Anyone on the internet with this link can view." 

12. Click "copy link."

Confirmation & receiving your edits
You will receive an email from Prof Lieu confirming your editing request within 2 business days.
  
When your edits are complete, you'll receive an email from Prof Lieu. If you have any problems viewing our edits, please email Prof Lieu: clara@artprof.org

All edits are private, we will not post anything from your docs online. If we are interested in posting your edits online, we will contact you first to ask permission.
