Calling all trans, gender diverse, and non-binary creatives and performers! Ever wanted to perform at a Minus18 event? To collaborate with our team? We want to hear from you! 

One of our most important strategic priorities at Minus18 (and certainly one of closest to our hearts) is to elevate and amplify trans, gender diverse, and non-binary voices through all aspects of our work. That includes our life-affirming youth events, youth programs, and the artwork/materials we use to promote our events. 

In the past year, over 45% of performers at our life-affirming youth events are trans, gender diverse, or non-binary – and we’re committed to raising that number even higher. 

In fact, we've received support from our friends at Levi's to expand our pool of funding for even more trans, gender diverse, and non-binary creators!

That’s why we want to hear from you! If you’re interested in performing at a youth event, lending your artistic skills to the marketing of our youth events, or facilitating an activation at a youth event or digital engagement, let us know! 

 Who are you?

• You identify as trans, gender diverse or non binary 
• Aged 18 - 30 
• Located across so-called Australia
• You’re a performer, musician, speaker, artist or facilitator

The types of engagements we have coming up

1. Event Programming; inclusive of performers, emcees and facilitators at in-person and online events.
2. Event Promotion; supporting the marketing and promotion of youth events through promotional assets and content. 
3. Other; other opportunities for TGDNB creators to connect with the Minus18 community outside youth events including facilitating Minus18 Young Leaders Program sessions and Instagram livestream hosts.

Is there anything else to know? 

• Our calendar of youth events and programs runs all year. You may hear from us soon, or at the end of 2023 when we’re creating our next Adelaide Queer Formal! We’ll be referring back to this form over the coming year.
• As mentioned, we’ve received wonderful support from our friends at Levi’s to extend our Trans, Gender Diverse and Non-Binary Creators Fund – so we have budget and scope to book, pay, and amplify even more TGDNB creatives.
• As such, if you hear from our team, you may be paid as a recipient of this fund, or from our own internal team’s budgets.
