High School Physics: Crash Science: Designing, 3D printing, and testing a crumple zone for absorbing the force of impact in a collision.
This form is for high school physics or AP Physics teachers who want to sign up their classes for this engineering project for the 2020-21 school year. This project is funded by a grant from the Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow Foundation and is being offered virtually and free of charge by the STEM Explorer program at Delta College. This project is limited to schools in Michigan and preference is given to schools in the Great Lakes Bay Region.

Your first choice of when you would like to participate: Note: We will do our best to accommodate your first choice, but will be constrained by the number of schools choosing to participate (the STEM Explorer team provides technical support for this project as well as 3D printing). We can accommodate you if you absolutely must have a certain time, but this could reduce the availability of technical support, or cause your 3D printing to be delayed. Another note: This project works best when students have already learned the fundamental concepts of motion, force, Newton's Laws, and energy.
