The Diallo Syli Photography Archive features photographs taken by Diallo Syli in Fria, Guinea during the years 1960 to 1970, shortly after Guinea gained independence in 1958. This collection showcases the city that the French referred to as "Little Paris."
As part of my work, I focus on cleaning, restoring, preserving, digitizing, and cataloging his photographs. This ongoing project aims to not only preserve but also bring to light a significant body of work that captures a brief moment in the history of francophone Western Africa and Guinea.
