VI. More about the teacher
Composer Alexander Liebermann is a highly accomplished and internationally recognized artist. He has received numerous prestigious awards and commissions, including the GEMA Composition Award, ASCAP Morton Gould Young Composer's Award, and Carl Kanter Prize in Music Composition.
Liebermann's works have been performed by renowned orchestras across Europe and the United States, including the Orchester des Wandels, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Nice Philharmonic, Budapest Scoring Orchestra, and Stradivari Soloists. His wide-ranging music spans from birdsong-inspired compositions to political monodramas, and is highly sought after for its unique blend of creativity and technical skill.
Liebermann holds degrees from the Hanns Eisler Conservatory, Juilliard, and Manhattan School of Music, where he was awarded the Saul Braverman Award in Music Theory for his thesis on Erwin Schulhoff. Currently, Liebermann resides in New York and serves as music theory and ear training faculty at Juilliard's preparatory division Music Advancement Program.
