#3221 Substitute Teacher Training
Short-term substitute teacher licenses are now available in the state of Illinois until June 2023. Short-term sub licenses may be issued to individuals who hold an Associate’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution of higher education or show completion of 60 semester hours of coursework. This training fulfills the statutory requirement that all short-term substitute teachers complete a training program that provides information on curriculum, classroom management techniques, school safety, and district/building operations.
