When: Sunday, June 9, 2024 at 3PM
What: Join Wesley at CMU for a bike ride (or walk/roll/stroll) to support the campus ministry! At each stop along our "circuit" loop there will be light refreshments. Food and a silent auction will be hosted at the starting and ending location at Wesley at CMU.
Why a "Circuit Ride?": Early preachers in the Methodist movement were assigned groups or "circuits" of worshipping communities to teach. These preachers would travel among them, often on horseback, earning the nickname "circuit riders." In this tradition, we ride in support of one of our modern day Methodist movements: campus ministry!
Where: The event will start at Wesley at CMU (1400 S. Washington St. Mount Pleasant, MI) and loop through a United Methodist "circuit" in our community. Participants will ride from Wesley to Mount Pleasant First UMC, then Trinity UMC, and back again to Wesley at CMU in a four mile loop.
A shorter option is also available on CMU's campus for walking, rolling, or strolling.
Who: People of all ages and abilities are welcome to attend!
Cost: A donation of $25/adult rider and $10/youth or child rider is recommended. Families are recommended to donate at a family rate of $40/family. Additional donations are welcome. All gifts support the young adult ministries at Wesley at CMU.
