Climb Athens is a community organized as a social club.   This means that we are all collectively responsible for making our club with a positive and supportive atmosphere that we and other members want to be a part of.  It also means that members are expected to contribute to decision making about the club and to work to achieve the purposes of the club.   We participate in planning and decision making.  We have the ability to run in elections for positions on the board of directors, we have the right to participate in Climb Athens events, and we have access to discussion and resources online.

Members also have responsibility to work towards the general and specific purposes of Climb Athens.  For every member this especially means building a supportive, cooperative learning community for climbers of all levels to develop their skills and character.   It also means following best safety practices, following safety rules, and enforcing those rules as a member of the shared community of Climb Athens.
