We are looking forward to our third year as a Michigan Generals team. If your daughter is 12 years old or younger on December 31, 2023, she is eligible to try out for this team. We are looking for competitive athletes who love to play softball, and want to improve their skills and learn the game, all while playing with teammates who are committed to the team's success. We are also looking for parents who are able to support their daughter and their daughter's teammates alike.
This team will NOT:
- Play in an indoor winter league where kids are playing games late at night.
- Play every weekend.
- Finalize a summer tournament schedule until after our fall season.
- Tolerate any parent drama or immature adults who cannot set a good example for young athletes.
- Place winning above the physical health of players.

This will be my third year coaching with the Michigan Generals Fastpitch Organization. I was a three sport varsity athlete at Birmingham Groves High School. I attended Michigan State University on a softball scholarship and know first hand what it takes to play at the division 1 level. I earned a secondary teaching degree and master's degree from MSU and have taught skills for living and English at the middle and high school levels.
As a player I was fortunate to have some incredible coaches and have always enjoyed sharing my experience and expertise to teach girls the game. I have coached at both the developmental and competitive levels. I focus on teaching fundamentals and metal toughness; encouraging players to have a growth mindset and strive to better themselves. I am passionate about helping girls develop life skills that will help them succeed in their future. I expect every player to work hard, to commit time and effort to improving her skills and to show good sportsmanship at all times. I expect the same from parents.
I live in Bingham Farms with my husband and our two daughters. I love to travel, spend time with family and friends and horseback ride. I’m looking forward to another great softball season in 2023-2024!
Assistant Coach Jenna Frommer Bio:
Hi parents and players! My name is Jenna Frommer and this will be my second year as an assistant coach for this incredible team. I am 21 years old and currently a senior at Michigan State University studying Human Biology. I played for the Michigan Generals Organization for 7 years (12u-18u). After my playing days were over I decided I wanted to give back to this amazing sport and be a role model for these hard working and talented athletes. I was in your daughter’s shoes just a few years ago and believe I can be there to help guide her through the physical and especially mental aspect of this game. I am super excited to be coaching again this year and can’t wait to meet your players at tryouts!
